Dear ,
A woman who never asks for a raise doesn't get one.
A woman who never says a problem exists doesn't get it fixed.
A woman who keeps her mouth shut at work, at home, and in her own head is easier to underpay, overlook, and take advantage of.
That's the patriarchy working exactly as designed, and it's been conditioning women to bite their tongues for a very long time.
A quiet woman is useful to a partner who doesn't want to compromise.
Useful to a boss who wants to pay the minimum possible salary.
Useful to a system that runs more smoothly when half the population doesn't ask too many questions.
But this system only works as long as women are willing to cooperate.
And all it takes for you to start breaking this cycle in your own life is for you to start speaking up.
I know, easier said than done.
You WANT to speak up for yourself, but sometimes it feels impossible.
What you may not know is that the reason it feels impossible is because you most likely are experiencing one of the three Speak Up Barriers that keep women swallowing their words.
The Speak Up Barriers are three specific thought patterns I’ve identified after coaching more than 15,000 women over the last decade.
These barriers can be overcome. But you have to know which one you’re dealing with first.
So click here to take my free quiz to find out your Speak Up Barrier.
Then on September 9, I'm teaching a live event, entirely about speaking up. It's going to help you find the one ask that has the potential to change everything in your life.
Mark your calendar and I’ll be back with more details on that soon.
In the meantime, you'll want to take this quiz to prepare.
More soon,
