The Food and Drug Administration announced it will impose sharp sales restrictions on many flavored e-cigarettes and propose bans on menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars. E-cigarette sales would be limited to bricks-and-mortar outlets that have either age-restricted entry or areas inside stores that are not accessible to people under 18. The rule is tantamount to a ban for many convenience stores and gas stations, but not for vape and tobacco stores.
