In 2021, Mark and his 12-year-old son were praying with other pro-lifers outside a Philadelphia abortion facility when a facility volunteer started aggressively berating Mark, and then his son.   Mark stepped in to defend his son, which resulted in Mark being unjustly charged with violating the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (the FACE Act) and the possibility of 11 years in prison.   Fortunately, a jury saw the charges for what they were—an attempt to intimidate the pro-life community.
