| Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) on Saturday mandated face coverings in public for most people age 8 and older, but the state's Republican-controlled legislature and many mayors probably will push back on the order.
In Georgia, the mayors of Atlanta and Savannah have directed people to wear masks despite an executive order from the governor saying mayors cannot make rules that are stricter or more lenient than the statewide policy. |
