A new study on a record-breaking six-month heat streak in Siberia this year, as well as an Arctic Circle temperature milestone of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit set in June has found that without global warming, these events would have been virtually "impossible." The research, produced by climate scientists from institutions in several countries, concludes human-caused global warming made the heat streak at least 600 times more likely to occur. |
