| The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday is expected to reverse its recommendations from early May when it said it was safe for vaccinated people to go maskless indoors because of the protection afforded by vaccines. Coronavirus infections were dropping sharply at that time and the highly infectious delta variant had not gained significant traction in the United States. |
