Health Alert: Hospitals advised to postpone elective surgeries because of coronavirus

The new guidance from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recommends that hospitals suspend elective surgeries for now, in preparation for an expected surge in patients suffering from covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
