Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said he spoke with China's health minister on Monday and repeated an offer to send a team of U.S. experts to help contain the coronavirus outbreak. "We are urging China that more cooperation and transparency are the most important steps you can take toward a more effective response," Azar said. Asked about the minister's response, Azar said he "hopes the Chinese government will take us up on" the offer. Top health officials also said that no option was off the table when it came to further restricting travel from China, but did not announce any further restrictions. |
