Help us seize this Catholic moment -

Amazing things are happening in the American Catholic world. Record numbers are entering or returning to the Church, with a notable surge among younger Americans, especially Gen Z men. Priestly and religious vocations are on the rise. We even have an American-born Pope for the first time in the history of the Church.   We also have an unprecedented number of Catholics serving our nation at the highest levels, including the vice president, secretary of state, seven other top administration officials, and six Supreme Court Justices.    It's truly a "Catholic moment." But this moment also brings grave challenges. Our teachings on such things as abortion and human sexuality are met with charges of intolerance and lack of concern for others. Many Catholics feel they have no right to allow their religious beliefs to inform their public actions.    And the epidemic of violence in our nation calls for an infusion of prayer at a national level.   At CatholicVote, we're determined to seize this Catholic moment. I believe with every fiber of my being that God placed me here to do great things and I'm honored to lead the way. Allow me to introduce myself in this video: Help us seize this Catholic moment.   I've always believed that every Catholic deserves a voice in the conversations shaping our nation — and that our Church has a treasury of truth, beauty, and hope to offer the public square. That conviction has shaped every step of my journey — from playing guard for Notre Dame's Fighting Irish, to serving at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, to leading Catholic journalism in places as diverse as Rome, Italy, and war-torn Iraq.   With theology degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the Augustine Institute, and nearly two decades of experience in evangelization, media, and public policy, I've been blessed to serve the Church from many vantage points — whether as a Dominican sister for nine years, or as Executive Director of EWTN's international news. Each role has prepared me for this one: leading CatholicVote into a bold, new chapter.   And we're just getting started. The fight for the Catholic voice in the public square is more important than ever.    Please support our efforts with a financial gift.   Consider just a few recent events: The assassination of Charlie Kirk and the horrific shooting of children at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis by a trans person. Plans by the Archdiocese of Chicago to honor pro-abortion U.S. Senator Dick Durbin with a lifetime achievement award. (Many thanks to the more than 40,000 who voiced their concern directly to Cardinal Cupich through the CatholicVote Action Center.) FDA approval of a generic mifepristone abortion pill, subjecting even more unborn children to death, and further wounding the lives of countless women.
