Environment Alert: What you’re really swallowing when you drink bottled water: Up to 1,000 times more plastic than scientists thought

A paper published Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by Columbia University scientists discovered 240,000 plastic particles per liter of bottled water, most of them in the form of ultra-small "nanoplastics."
