In the statement, the Christian leaders denounced Christian Zionism and clarified that they alone speak for the interests of the indigenous Christian communities in the region.  READ CARDINAL ZEN PRAISES POPE, WARNS MEETING FORMAT  Cardinal Joseph Zen, archbishop emeritus of Hong Kong, praised Pope Leo for convening the recent Extraordinary Consistory of Cardinals at the Vatican, calling it a "welcome 'breakthrough'" in a statement yesterday.
