Hi, I'm Maitland!
Hello again to all my fellow shopping enthusiasts! If you had told baby Maitland that this job was a real thing — shopping all day and writing about it?! My mind would have been blown. A little bit about me: I live in New York, love to walk rather quickly for miles upon miles, and overdress for almost every event (except for sitting on the couch and bingeing all the TV — most recently Peaky Blinders). Photos: Maitland Quitmeyer I'm passionate about everything from my favorite sink cleaner — Hope's Perfect Sink! and yes, I am a Virgo — to skincare products. Last time I wrote about my favorite moisturizer and it's been sold out for months, so joke's on me. Friends text me for shopping advice all the time (and of course I send them a link), so join the club and give my recent recommendations a read.
Hope you enjoy my picks! Forwarded This Newsletter?

I LOVE LIPSTICK!!! Wearing red lipstick just about every day is one of my main personality traits (I never said I was interesting), but during the at-home times, I've been looking for sheer-tinted, hydrating, *comfortable* lip colors to perk up my face but also go with...lots of loungewear. These new Glossier lip colors are the ticket — they feel weightless (even comfier than Generation G) and provide a flush of buildable color — and a bit of shine — that looks fresh and summer-ready. I have three shades (a reddish, a pinkish, and a berryish) and they're all gorgeously wearable dressed up or down. This foundation from Uoma Beauty (a Black-owned, cruelty-free beauty brand) is my new faaaaave. I have never had such a perfect shade match (often the palest shade is too orange or oxidizes), and the finish is fabulous — buildable but actually covers what you want it to. Glowy but not *shiny*, it just looks like SKIN (hellooo me looking directly into the sun in this photo to give you a good look!) Their shades are grouped into "skin kins," each with different skincare ingredients and benefits to address the concerns of your skin type — based on the Fitzpatrick scale (which measures skin's reaction to the sun) — my skin kin group, for example, targets sensitivity and redness! I could eat dumplings every day — easily one of my top five favorite foods. And they're also one of my go-to "oh boy, what am I going to have for lunch/dinner/3p.m. hanger spell" solutions, often with some simple cut-up veggies. And because of that, I almost *always* have dumplings in my freezer. Enter Milu (a new-ish Chinese restaurant in Manhattan ~owned by a former chef at Eleven Madison Park~) and their "pantry," where you can order their main sauces. Their dumpling sauce is soooo good, a mix of chili oil (spicy!), soy sauce (savory!), and vinegar (sour!) and makes my last-minute frozen dumpling meals SO MUCH more delicious!! I haven't made it to the restaurant yet, but I can't wait! Lions are my favorite animal (I *too* love naps and have a lot of hair), and my home decor...kind of reflects that. I have two sets of lion bookends, don't @ me. And this majestic creature on my wall brings me joy whenever I look at it. I hung it on the wall in a little vertical gallery with two other framed pieces, smack in the center of this vintage frame, and I love how three dimensional it is — a nice change from the prints and paintings I have around it. The Etsy shop that makes it has lots of other animals too, so you can find your fave!
