Dear Aswani,

Change is nothing new to the Forward. Over the course of our 122-year history, we’ve updated our format (quite a few times), launched new sections and moved to reader-supported journalism, with each change better serving our readership. Now, we’re completing a critical step in our evolution — becoming an all-digital publication.

Initially spurred by the demanding changes in the media business, our move to all-digital formats has come at a pivotal time in the Forward’s trajectory. It allows us to sharpen our focus, reach and relevance to new and established readers who now look for their news online. Taking this next step is critical in creating a sound business model, positioning us to effectively inform and engage readers for the next 122 years.

With 2 million monthly readers, 13 awards won in 2018, a new young audience engaging in Jewish life, a vibrant Yiddish website and so much more, the Forward’s future is brighter than ever. As we continue on into this next chapter, we need your support now more than ever. With your help, we can carry out our mission, and chart a course to survive and thrive.

Protect fearless, progressive Jewish journalism. Please give today.

As you depend on us to keep you informed and in touch with the Jewish community, we depend on your support to continue to tell the Jewish American story.

In gratitude for your readership,
