Environment Alert: EPA vows widespread action on toxic ‘forever’ chemicals

The agency vowed to begin setting drinking water limits for two of the most widely detected compounds in a class of chemicals known as PFAS. But environmental groups, some lawmakers and residents of contaminated communities said the agency's "action plan" isn't aggressive enough, insisting that EPA needs to move more quickly to regulate the chemicals in the nation's drinking water.
