The Kansas shooting teaches Indians a few lessons about Trump — and the United States
There will be another Kansas in Trump's America. It's just a matter of when.
No ‘inflammatory’ books allowed — we’re a university, after all …
Fortunately, the university admitted the error, apologized and pledged to take steps to prevent this in the future.

Trump’s budget will hurt the people he promised to help
The rhetoric vs. the reality.

Last night, conservatives gave up on conservatism
Paul Ryan's 'principles' are nowhere to be found.

Trump acts presidential, and here’s what we’ve decided passes for that now
We're just making it up as we go along.

Josh Earnest to Stephen Colbert: Fake news isn’t new
Cites birther attacks on President Obama, which were promoted by "one Republican in particular."

If you thought Trump’s speech was ‘Presidential,’ you probably loved Scar the Lion’s
This was Teleprompter Saruman, not Twitter Saruman.

The pundits are wrong. Trump’s handling of the Ryan Owens affair was contemptibly cynical.
Trump won't accept responsibility for his disastrous decision.

Trump still wants you to be very, very afraid
The president throws some bones of optimism to the establishment but still revels in supposed dark threats.

Trump proves his travel ban is a farce
This charade needs to end.

Trump, the press, the First Amendment and Thomas Jefferson
If President Trump is channeling any historical figure in calling out the press as the "enemies of the people," it is Joseph Stalin, or possibly Robespierre, not Thomas Jefferson.

Pundits are treating Trump like theater. They should learn from the real critics.
Judge the presidency like a season of television, not an episode.

Maryland should reject investment discrimination
Efforts that single out Israel for special contempt hurt our credibility and make peace harder to achieve.

Trump’s speech had no serious answers to the big questions
There were few clues as to what he'll do on the major issues.

The perils of public ignorance about federal spending
Most of the public does not realize that entitlement programs are major contributors to federal debt. On the other hand, they vastly overestimate the amount of money spent on foreign aid. Politicians have learned to exploit this ignorance.
