Environment Alert: Lead pollution from small planes threatens human health, EPA finds, the first step toward new rules on leaded aviation fuel

Lead emitted from airplanes is a danger to public health, the Environmental Protection Agency announced, a move that puts the Biden administration in the middle of a brewing fight over whether airports can continue selling leaded gasoline despite the health hazards from the powerful neurotoxin.
