| Hi, I'm Emma!
Photos: Emma McAnaw I'm known for being a huge fan of sloths — to the point where people who I haven't spoken to in years will reach out with random pictures of sloths. So if you want to talk to me about sloths, hit me up at @emcanaw and I'll be ready with a concerning amount of fun facts. I spend the rest of my time looking at pit bulls to adopt (our building has a weight limit. Sigh. One day.), rewatching "Avatar" on repeat with my partner Tyler (the SHOW, get out of here with the movie), and spending hours trying to cook a Pinterest meal that I told Tyler would only take "thirty minutes, max".

I am big, big, big on skincare. My bathroom counter is lined up with...a lot...of skincare products (and there may be more stuffed under the sink), but one of my favorites is this toner! It's from a fantastic Black owned boutique, Olive Branch, and the owner Ty is absolutely wonderful, so if you're looking to shop small this is a great place to check out! I have sensitive skin and this toner hasn't broken me out at all, in fact I love its gentle tingling effect. I'm passionate about cruelty-free beauty, and try to stick with all-natural formulas, and this checks off all my boxes! OK, so I am a very lazy dresser. I wore heels for the first time the other week, and my feet almost ran away in shock. Obviously, due to quarantine, I have worn the same leggings basically every day since last March so I was looking for something that was a step up from workout clothes without straying far from comfort (like, at all). Enter this dress! It's called the Nap Dress for a reason — it is so, so incredibly comfy. Almost suspiciously so — I half expected people at the grocery store to ask me why I was in a nightgown the first time I wore it out. But the compliments don't stop coming in this, and the off-the-shoulder option (you can also wear it with the sleeves up) gives it the ~boho vibes~ I usually feel most at home in. 100/10 recommend wearing them with Birks like me (or Crocs if you're really leaning into comfort, I've been there and support it). I stopped eating meat when was 15, but I remember l-o-v-i-n-g bacon. I think that was actually my mom's first question when I announced I was departing the meat life — "what are you going to do without bacon??" Luckily, in 2021 the plant-based market is booming, so I can start enjoying these treats again! I personally thought this bacon alternative tasted just like the real deal. My partner, a big pork fan, said while he could slightly tell it wasn't real meat alone, if he had it in a BLT or burger, he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This bacon is available at over 300 Whole Foods now, so you can try it for yourself! I certainly do not a green thumb. I'm currently the proud owner of a cactus named Henry who probably really wants a new mom, but I'm doing my best!!! So when I saw this vase I knew I would most likely keep it empty, but who doesn't love having a butt vase on full display in their home? It's called art. I'll probably put a faux plant in it eventually, but for now I'm just letting it do its own thing. I think it's happy.
