Hello and welcome to the Computerworld UK Weekly Digest. This week saw Google reveal a much-anticipated update to its super-popular email service, Gmail, as it looks to go toe-to-toe with Microsoft Outlook. The new features fall into three buckets as the company wants Gmail to be the 'most secure', 'smartest' and 'easiest to use' email service on the market. We have rounded up all of the new features, with details of how to switch over to the new-look inbox. Elsewhere, Tableau has drastically redefined its pricing model in a bid to get its revenue growth back on track, and the UK government announced a further £1 billion in funding for the AI sector. We also had someone on the ground in Miami at Appian World to report on all the latest from the forefront of the 'low code' movement, and got to sit down the CEO of the company following its fairly recent IPO. As ever, thanks for reading. Scott Carey Editor, Computerworld UK |
