The Oscars Coverage Hasn't Stopped

Oscars night was Sunday, but the internet still hasn't stopped to catch its breath when it comes to covering the big event. From a big dress moment in the crowd to Nicole Kidman's (relatable) post-martini glow to Jamie Lee Curtis literally floating to the stage to Andrew Garfield being the gentlest Spider Man — seriously, you can catch it all with a couple hours of scrolling. Between the snubs and the history making, it was a night to remember.

This Toaster Is Fire

Time to make #ThrowbackTuesday a thing because this literal ancient toaster is making a comeback. Seriously, a museum tweeted it out and people became obsessed, dubbing it everything from "mother" to "cunty." It's inspired fan cams to petitions to bring the design back, citing a serious "glowdown" with modern toasters. Oh, and if you're curious how it works, check this out. Cheese Or No Cheese?

That is the question on everyone's mind as this story about a disaster date went viral on TikTok. A woman's rant about her date forgoing cheese ($3 cheese, I might add) on his burger while out to dinner has people saying "get a grip." She seemed affronted by his decision, and went so far as to pay for the dinner and then leave, blocking him on her way out. The comments are all on his side (again, $3 for a slice of cheese?!) but the saga continues on her page... Who knew cheese could be so controversial?

CapCut Is King

The CapCut template on TikTok has us in a chokehold, if the latest trending videos are any indication. At first, people were using it to create hilariously (bad) graphics of themselves along to poppy music, juxtaposing the life-altering captions. Like this guy, who ruined some teens' days. Now, I'm seeing people use it for the most mundane things, like their very un-busy schedules or their very productive uses of time. The internet is great at being ironic and this trend perfectly captures that dark sense of humor.
