Lawyer claims donations fall far short of high costs of defamation suit against Trump Republicans passed their tax bill. Now they're spending $10 million to promote it.
"To date the fund has received donations of just under $30,000" prominent women's rights lawyer Gloria Allred wrote on her Facebook page. "We anticipate that the costs alone in this case will be hundreds of thousands of dollars."

One of 2017's most persistent political ideas, which is unlikely to stop this year is the idea that the Democratic Party is running on nothing but opposition to an unpopular president.
The retirement will end a 46-year run for the Shuster family representing Pennsylvania's 9th district. Bud Shuster held the seat from 1973 until he resigned in 2001, setting up a special election won by his son.
