Can you guess what Facebook has (and hasn't!) banned?
1
Facebook comments containing the phrase "everyone will know"
Mark Zuckerberg personally banned this phrase from Facebook, after it became a secret code for users who want to stop Zuck's evil plan to charge people money to use Facebook. Lol no this was a hoax.
This phrase was banned when Facebook's spam filters went rogue It was briefly banned after a group of pranksters reported thousands of comments using the phrase to Facebook's moderators as "offensive."
2
Gustave Courbet's "Origine du Monde," a 19th-century nude painting.
Facebook had no issues with this painting. It was removed by Facebook's moderators.
Facebook removed the image of this painting because of a complaint from the museum that has it in its collection. It was allowed, but only if the user agreed to blur the painting's visible genitals.
3
A photo of Brock Turner (the former Stanford student who spent just three months in prison on a sexual assault conviction), with the caption "MY NAME IS BROCK | IM A RAPIST"
Allowed by Facebook, removed by the user who posted it. Removed, and the user who posted it was suspended.
Removed, but then allowed on the site after public outcry Facebook had no issues with this image.
