| A paper published Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by Columbia University scientists discovered 240,000 plastic particles per liter of bottled water, most of them in the form of ultra-small "nanoplastics." Those nanoplastics — less than the width of a human hair — could infiltrate deeper into the human body than microplastics. |
