Hey, I'm Maitland!
I find myself overjoyed every day to actually shop and write for a living. Working on a team full of such smart and cool people is a delight to my heart and a challenge to my wallet. Between my endless Tiktok scrolling, the amazing content my colleagues create, and my own research, it's embarrassingly easy to curate a selection of things I've been loving recently — the list is long! I almost never stop talking about products (sorry, but also you're welcome to my friends, who send me texts like "I don't need consumer reports because I have you."). Anyway, I hope you enjoy these finds that I have been l-o-v-i-n-g lately. Image: Maitland Quitmeyer WHAT I'M LOVING NOW
I.....will never go back after using the Dyson Airwrap. I have thick/dry/type 2/3 waves and curls (different curl types with basically every strand), and the many attachments dry and style my hair with ease and *speed*. I particularly love the curling barrels and ~air technology~ that just SUCKS ON your hair and is...mind-blowingly easy to use. And the curls actually *last*. It maxes out at a nondamaging temperature, so even though your style is locked-in for days, your hair will stay healthy. After years of heavy balayage and....lots of curling iron activity, after using this and no other hot tools exclusively, my curl pattern finally is looking the best it has in a long time! The TikToks are true: Whether I've had my hair long (mid-back) or shorter (lob length), the Airwrap has made creating my favorite hairstyles way easier. When I saw this disco ball bar cart on TikTok, I just knew I had to have it. It's from a small biz based in the UK and while it did take a while to arrive (as I expected), it was *well* worth the wait. The light bouncing off the mirror fragments and onto my walls is just dang beautiful. Between the bottom tray and the space inside the globe (yes, the globe OPENS UP!), there's a nice amount of storage for bottles and glassware. And unlike regular bar carts, the things you keep inside the globe will actually stay dust-free. I bought the "champagne" color (which is a nice neutral cream-beige) but it comes in tons of colors that'll go perfectly with your home decor. These coasters bring me joy. They combine some of my very favorite things: a red + pink color scheme, slight vintagey vibes, and a pun. The design is crisp and clear, the fiberboard makes them lightweight and not likely to scratch any of my furniture, and overall I'm just really happy with how they came out. Lowkey makes me want to get the same design in another Society6 product, but in the meantime I'm just looking forward to the next time I have some girlfriends over so they can set down a glass of wine on one of these bbs. If you know me, you know my favorite two movies are "When Harry Met Sally" and the 2005 "Pride and Prejudice." Both have incredible scores/soundtracks too! So when I saw this embroidered soundtrack-style sweatshirt (feat. Darcy and Lizzy and one of the iconic pieces of music from the film) I had to have it. I sized up a few sizes so I can lounge in full comfort and use the sleeves to wipe tears from my eyes while watching all my favorite romcoms and romdrams. This sweatshirt is currently sold out, but the shop does custom embroidery (and several other designs), so you can message the seller to request this design or another one that brings you joy!
