Bill Wehrum, who headed the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Air and Radiation from November 2017 until last month, is under scrutiny from the EPA's Office of Inspector General. Individuals familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter, said the probe is examining his interactions with his former law firm and its clients. This marks the third federal inquiry Wehrum faces: Both the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Democrats on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee are also looking into his conduct while in office. |
