News Alert: Michigan will become first state to ban flavored e-cigarettes

Now that the state health department has found youth vaping constitutes a public health emergency, a ban on flavors is needed to protect young people from the potentially harmful effects, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) told The Washington Post. E-cigarette companies use sweet flavors, such as bubble gum and "fruit loops," to hook young people on nicotine, Whitmer said.
