President Trump's declaration of a national emergency has been hit with several lawsuits, and lawmakers are divided as to whether the move is legitimate or constitutes a power grab that must be stopped.
The segment focused on the limits of presidential powers to circumvent Congress and procure funds to build 230 miles of barriers along the southern border.
On ABC News's "This Week," Weld also criticized Trump for declaring a national emergency on the border with Mexico. "It's just no way to run a railroad," he said.
