Donald Trump said he had chosen Janette Nesheiwat, a double board-certified doctor, to be surgeon general. The president-elect also said he had chosen former Florida congressman Dave Weldon to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He also announced the selection of Johns Hopkins surgeon and writer Martin Makary to lead the Food and Drug Administration. Trump also tapped Scott Turner to run the Department of Housing and Urban Development. |
