Environment Alert: Phoenix area can’t meet groundwater demands over next century, analysis finds, threatening growth around fifth-largest U.S. city

The report released Thursday by Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) amounts to a chilling warning for a metropolitan area with more than 5 million people that has been a development hot spot for new residents and high-tech businesses alike.
