| Hi! I'm Britt, and I'm a market writer for BuzzFeed Shopping.
Before coming to BuzzFeed, I spent a several years performing in musicals across the country, and also worked as a professional baker (ask me if I miss waking up at 3:45am!). I still try to bake at home at least once a week, and I have a not-so-slight obsession with all things food — a fact that this newsletter will make very obvious. These days, it's safe to assume I'm either sharing highly questionable Zillow listings on my high school friend group text, seeking out skincare products that can stand up to my super dry skin, wearing SLIPPERS (!) on my perpetually cold feet, or debating whether I'm Team Tom or Team Kendall (trick question, forever Team Gerri). I've been following Stick With Me Sweets, a teeny tiny NYC chocolate shop, on Instagram for years now, and I only just recently tried a box of their jaw-droppingly gorgeous bonbons. They're *almost* too pretty to eat, but just do it, because they taste as good as they look. The guava passionfruit was my personal favorite, but you really can't go wrong — and they come beautifully packaged, making them the perfect gift. I was recently gifted this body oil, and as someone who loves skincare but detests the feeling of greasy residue, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it lived up to the "dry" part of its name. I've been slathering it on when I get out of the shower, and I find that it makes the backs of my arms, which typically get red and bumpy, nice and smooth. I'm also enjoying the light, citrusy scent, and it looks pretty on my bathroom counter! Is it normal to be in love with a citrus juicer? Because ever since I purchased this one in August, I've been absolutely smitten. Citrus desserts are my favorite things to bake, so I do a good deal of juicing. I find that handheld juicers only work well for small lemons and limes, and I didn't want a big electronic one taking up lots of precious kitchen space. This one is just the right size , and is so easy to use — the lid catches any seeds, and I appreciate that its design means I don't have to use very much of what little upper body strength I have. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my blue version online, but the black and white one that's linked to here is pretty snazzy, too. Image: Room Shop I moved to Philly from Brooklyn this year, and it's been so fun learning about new (to me) local small businesses that are making beautiful things — like this ruffle bag from Room Shop. It's been a while since I've purchased a new bag (I usually alternate between a vintage Coach mini backpack and one of an infinite number of tote bags that have made their way into my home over the years), but I thought this one was just-different-enough-without-being-too-out-there, and I love the structured handle paired with the flouncy satin fabric. It also comes with a detachable crossbody strap, so it's a great two-in-one piece. I haven't actually received it yet, but I'm eagerly awaiting the day I can use it to gussy up the puffer coat I'll be living in until April.
