Environment Alert: Americans would rather reduce oil and gas exploration than ‘drill, baby, drill,’ Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll finds

The poll found that a large majority of Americans said drilling for oil and natural gas off the coasts and on public lands should decrease or remain at current levels, a viewpoint at odds with the expansion promoted by President Trump as part of his "energy dominance" agenda. Just over half, 51 percent, said energy exploration should be reduced on federal lands, and 53 percent said it should be reduced offshore. About one-third said it should stay as it is on federal lands and in waters.
