A Washington Post analysis of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data across the Lower 48 states and 3,107 counties found that major areas are nearing or have already crossed the threshold of 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit), a crucial marker in international climate change policy. Other parts of the Northeast — New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts — trail close behind. |
