Science Alert: NASA’s next Mars rover will look for signs of life on an ancient lake and delta

NASA announced that it will send a mission to Jezero Crater — the site of a former crater lake and river delta — to search for evidence that life once existed on Mars. The rover, which is scheduled to launch in 2020, is equipped with a drilling system that can collect and store rock samples that future missions may return to Earth for analysis.
