Health Alert: New Ebola outbreak declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The World Health Organization said an Ebola outbreak has been declared in northeast Democratic Republic of Congo. At least one person has tested positive for the virus, and died of a hemorrhagic fever on Friday, according to WHO.
The Ebola infection was confirmed from tests on nine people in Bas-Uele province in northern Congo April 22 and three have died of fever, according to Reuters.
The last Ebola outbreak in the DRC, which was in 2014, lasted three months and killed 49 people.
